This Privacy Policy explains what data GhostNote ("we," "our," "the App") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum needed to operate the service and never sell your data to third parties.
We keep your account and license data for as long as you have an active subscription or lifetime license. You can request deletion at any time by messaging @ghostaidev on Discord — your account and saved API keys will be permanently removed within 7 days. Stripe payment records are retained per Stripe's policies and applicable financial law.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to request a copy of what we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via Discord at @ghostaidev.
GhostNote is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective" date and notify active users by email. Continued use of GhostNote after changes constitutes acceptance.

By creating an account, purchasing, downloading, or using GhostNote, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use GhostNote. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use GhostNote on one device for personal use only. See the License Agreement below for full terms.
See the Acceptable Use Policy for what is and isn't allowed. Violations may result in immediate license revocation without refund.
GhostNote uses your own API keys from third-party AI providers. Your usage is governed by their terms and pricing, not ours. We are not responsible for charges incurred from your AI provider, rate-limit errors, content moderation actions taken by them, or downtime on their side.
GhostNote, including the software, branding, website, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the software except as expressly permitted by law.
GhostNote is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall GhostNote, its developer, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GhostNote and its developer from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
We may suspend or terminate your access to GhostNote at any time if you violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. You may stop using GhostNote at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you (an individual) and GhostNote regarding the GhostNote software application ("Software").
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on one (1) device for your personal, non-commercial use, conditioned on your continued compliance with this EULA and our Terms of Service.

We may release updates, patches, or new versions of the Software. Some updates may be required for continued use. All updates are governed by this EULA unless a separate license is provided.
"Lifetime" refers to the operational lifetime of the GhostNote service, not the lifetime of the user. Lifetime licenses include all future updates for as long as we operate the service. If we discontinue the service, we will provide reasonable notice. Lifetime does not guarantee perpetual operation regardless of business circumstances.
The Software is licensed, not sold. We retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights. No rights are granted by implication or otherwise except as expressly set forth in this EULA.
This EULA terminates automatically if you breach any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies in your possession.
We want you to be happy with GhostNote. If it doesn't work for you, here's how refunds work:
You may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase, provided that:
Message @ghostaidev on Discord with your account email and order details. Refunds are typically processed within 3-5 business days back to the original payment method.
Monthly subscription renewals are non-refundable after the renewal charge has processed. To avoid future charges, cancel before your next renewal date. You will retain access through the end of the paid period.
Lifetime purchases are eligible for refund within the 7-day window only. After 7 days, lifetime purchases are final.
Please contact us first before initiating a chargeback. Chargebacks bypass our refund process and may result in immediate license revocation while the dispute is investigated.
GhostNote is a personal productivity tool. You are responsible for how you use it. By using GhostNote you agree not to use it in ways that violate laws, third-party rights, or the policies of platforms, employers, or institutions you participate in.
GhostNote is a tool. We provide the software; you decide how to use it. You — and not GhostNote or its developer — are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with all applicable rules, contracts, policies, and laws to which you are subject. If you are unsure whether your intended use is allowed, do not use the software for that purpose.
Violations of this policy may result in immediate license revocation without refund. We may also report violations to law enforcement if required by law.
