Cluely runs three tiers: Starter is free, Pro is $19.99/mo, and Pro + Undetectability is $149.99/mo. Only that top tier is described on Cluely’s own site as “completely hidden to meeting screen sharing software.” If you tried the free or $19.99 plan expecting it to stay off a shared screen, it doesn’t — and that gap is what sends people looking elsewhere. There are a handful of tools chasing this space. They are not interchangeable — they differ on platform, on what “hidden” actually costs, and on what happens to your screen data.

Be honest with yourself about what you’re optimizing for. Cluely is a more polished, better-funded product with a real support team, live meeting notes built in, and nothing to configure — you sign up and it works. If $149.99/mo is genuinely not a factor for you and you want a managed product with people to call when something breaks, Cluely is the better buy, full stop. GhostNote does not have a support team behind it in that sense — it’s a smaller app, and it says so.
GhostNote is invisible on every plan, including the free one, because the hiding comes from the window itself (marked as excluded from screen capture at the OS level) rather than being gated behind a subscription tier. The paid plan is $11.99/mo, or $250 once for a lifetime licence. You bring your own API key — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or a local Ollama model — so GhostNote isn’t marking up tokens to fund a $149.99 price tag. GhostNote runs on both Windows and macOS, so platform isn’t a reason to rule it out the way it might be for some tools. Ofradr, also in the table above, is Windows only and starts at $30/mo — more than GhostNote’s $11.99/mo — and its own EULA is worth reading before installing anything: Article 1.2 states screen data transmission “cannot be disabled without ceasing use of the Software,” and Article 8.3 reserves the right to sell aggregated data to third parties including data brokers.
